After receiving your registration submission, I will send you a PDF containing various things to play to get an evaluation of how the lessons should begin.

    Video Correspondence Lesson Policies

    Here's the boring yet important stuff. This section of the registration page goes over payments, missing video submission, etc. These policies are to help keep things fair for all students and the teacher.
    • Lessons must be paid for up front. Payment must be received prior to any lessons.
      • Payments are made online with either a credit or debit card.
        • You will receive an invoice emailed to you to submit your payment.
          • There will be an option to save your card info so you can be charged automatically each month. This is an option, and totally up to you if you choose to do so or not.
    • ​Payment is due on the 1st of each month, but can be paid earlier.
      • If your first lesson of the month happens to fall on the 1st then your payment must be received prior to your lesson.
        • If payment is NOT received there will be NO LESSON.
    • The deadline to submit your video(s) demonstrating your work is every 11:59 PM on Wednesday Night (mountain time zone).
      • If you miss the deadline, that week will be forfeit, and you will receive new material the following week.
        • This deadline is in place to ensure I'm able to respond in a timely manner to all students.
    • If you know you will be taking a vacation, and tell the teacher prior to an upcoming payment, a fee adjustment can be made to reflect your absence.
      • This fee adjustment can happen 4 times out of the year. That means if you think you'll be missing a week every single month, you can have your fee adjust 4 times, but after that, the month needs to be paid in full even if you will not be able to attend a week.
    • ​If the teacher has to cancel a lesson you will receive a refund for that one lesson or receive a credit the following month.
    • ​There are no refunds (unless the teacher misses a class as mentioned above).
      • Once payment is received it has joined the cycle of money and gone off to a bill, or perhaps multiple bills!
    • ​A one week notice before an upcoming month is required to stop lessons.
      • This gives the teacher time to begin planning on filling the time slot with a new student.
        • Telling the teacher on payday you won't be attending anymore is not giving proper notice or any time to fill that slot, and you will be billed a $20 late cancellation fee to cover that time.
