- How to Go Up and Down Scales - Something as basic as going up and down scale shapes can actually be extremely difficult when you're trying to play fast.
Constantly changing strings is tough. Sometimes you change strings after down strokes, sometimes up strokes. Running up and down scales can really feel like finger and pick gymnastics.
This lesson shows you several different ways of breaking down a scale shape in order to simplify things to allow progress to begin, to break through plateaus, and to have strategies for future sticking points.
There's a LOT in this lesson, so please take your time in taking in all the information. I hope you find it helpful and informative.
