I like to call this rhythm pattern a "Drunken Gallop". A regular gallop typically consists of one 8th note, then two 16th notes. A reverse gallop typically consists of two 16th notes, then one 8th note. The drunken gallop goes one 16th note, one 8th note, then another 16th note. The count for this is 1e_a2e_a3e_a4e_a Want more stuff like this?MASSIVE collections of real lessons I've given to students can be purchased for dirt cheap!
