This was given to a student to test their rhythmic skills! Not only do we basically have a 4:3 polyrhythm happening (the chords in the first 3 bars are all evenly spaced, giving us 4 chords evenly spaced across 3 beats), we also have a 4/4 AND 3/4 time signature happening at the same time in the first 3 bars. This is because the 4:3 polyrhythm strumming pattern begins again after 3 full beats, which makes counting this like a 3/4 time signature a good idea. However, the chords change each new bar, and each bar is laid out in a 4/4 time signature. In other words, this is pretty dang hard! The last bar is there just for added challenge. The count for this rhythm is 1--a--n--e--4--a --n--e--3--a--n- -e--2--a--n--e-- 1e-a2e-a3ena-en- Want more stuff like this?MASSIVE collections of real lessons I've given to students can be purchased for dirt cheap!
