This was given to a guitar student to help improve their alternate picking speed. This exercise consists of playing 7 notes in a row, followed by a short pause. You have six 16th notes and and one 8th that make up the rhythm. The count is 1ena2en_3ena4en_

This was given to a guitar student to introduce the rhythm pattern of strumming a dotted 8th note followed by a 16th note. Beats 1 and 3 contain four 16th notes in order to help you lock into the appropriate strumming speed/rhythm. This is done to help make transitioning to the dotted 8th note +16th note easier to play and understand.

Given to a student to slowly introduce the idea of skipping down beats and down strokes, this strumming pattern has you strum on all possible 16th notes except for the down beats of counts 2 and 4. The count for each bar/measure is 1ena_ena3ena_ena
